This qualification is accredited by the Australian Dental Council to provide the knowledge and skills to register upon graduation as a dental hygienist the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). The course content is based on the Dental Board of Australia (DBA) scope of practice of a dental hygienist to provide preventive services for all ages in periodontal and gingival treatment, x-rays, fluoride application and other oral care.
