Travel and accommodation allowance

Making life easier for you

The Travel and Accommodation Allowance is a part-payment from the South Australian Government, often for rural or regional apprentices or trainees, to reduce the costs which may be incurred by your employer should you need to travel long distances to attend training.

Are you eligible?

  1. Do you have a current training contract registered in South Australia?
  2. Is your home more than 75km from your nearest training location?
  3. Do you live in rural or regional South Australia? Or is your training provider located interstate (pre-approval required)?

If so, you may be eligible.

Want to apply?

Ask your employer to check your situation against the Guidelines – Travel and Accommodation Allowance and submit an application.
